Hi! I'm Mauro and here is how we came to take this awesome picture on a frozen lake in Colorado! At least, from my standpoint. Enjoy!

We met at a mutual friend's Super Bowl watch party! So, you could say we met thanks to Allyson throwing a party, and Phoebe asking me to bring tortillas! Unfortunately, no pictures were taken during the party, but here is a cool picture of the super bowl celebration after the Buccaneers won!

Our first kiss was at a house party after Erin met my cousins from Argentina that were visiting town! We don't even know whose house it was, but it was really fun and full of great friends!

As many Texas may remember, the freeze of 2021 was stressful and difficult. For us, it became a reason to hang out with each other everyday at my friend's Julian's place since somehow, he was the only one with power and running water. After 4 days of spending all day together, we got to know each other pretty well. I guess you could say since we couldn't shower for several days and had to cook with a flashlight and a gas stove!

Even though we only new each for 12 days, I just couldn't resist and asked Erin to be my girlfriend. I think she was a little nervous, but I think we just fell comfortable with each other since the beginning!

I met Erin's parents for the first time at their ranch in Hungerford, TX. At first I was afraid I wouldn't fit in since I didn't grew up in agriculture. However, I made a good impression to her parents since I didn't wear a plaid shirt and a cowboy hat! Or maybe they saw she was happy, who knows?

Erin met my parents for the first time in Miami Beach, FL. At first Erin wasn't sure what to wear in Miami. After countless hours of staring at her closet and getting advise from Cody (Erin's brother-in-law), she nailed the outfits and couldn't have fit better into this tropical paradise!

Even though everyone meets their future wife/husband at Texas A&M, we didn't get the chance to have the same pleasure since I went to school in Illinois. However, even though I wasn't a big football fan, I still wanted to learn more about this Aggie cult. Therefore, Erin invited me to my first Aggie game against New Mexico. Just being honest, I keep that towel next to my bed to remind me that I should pursue that MBA someday to get the ring.

Growing up, neither of us got the chance to go skiing. So, when our friend Phoebe asked us to go skiing with her, we couldn't say no. So after some schooling and eating some snow (really just me), we finally made it to the bottom of the slope!

Erin relentlessly always told me how much she wanted to visit the Grand Canyon, and after many other fun trips were completed, we were able to finally visit our first National Park together!

After dating for almost 2 years, our parents and siblings met. After eating some Texas BBQ and laughter reigned the table, we figured our families enjoyed spending time together!

While doing a hike in Boulder, CO, I asked Erin to marry me. Since then, she wears the ring on and off since she doesn't want to get it dirty. I get it, but I keep telling her she needs to start washing her hands with the ring on. I don't want her to leave it somewhere!
